How to take your measurements
A few minutes with a soft measuring tape will save you any guesswork. These are the measurements we use to design our pieces, and the ones most likely to help you find your best fit.
Before you start
Use a soft measuring tape, not a rigid ruler.
Measure over tight clothing, or over the underthings you would wear with the piece.
Stand naturally. Don't suck in or hold your breath.
A friend can help, but it is doable on your own.
Write the numbers down somewhere you can find them later.

Waist
Your natural waist is the narrowest part of your torso, usually just above your belly button. Bend slightly to one side; the crease formed indicates your natural waist. Wrap the tape snugly, not tightly. Breathe normally.
Hips
Measure around the fullest part of your hips, usually about seven to nine inches below your waist. Keep the tape level all the way around. Snug, not tight.
Bust
Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your bust, level from front to back. Measure while breathing normally, wearing the bra you would wear with the piece.
Skirt length
To see where a skirt will sit on you, measure straight down from your natural waist to where you want the hem to fall.
If you're between sizes
We suggest sizing up for a more relaxed fit. Be sure to review the Size & Fit Guide for your selected garment before making a decision. And if something does not fit quite right when it arrives, we have a simple exchange process. See our returns and exchanges page for how it works.
